Ireland (Part 2).....

More Ireland for you to enjoy.

The perfect Ireland climate grows the most amazing and abundant flowers.

The watch tower at Trim Castle.

Trim Castle. Built in 1170's. One of the largest castles in Europe and Irelands' largest.

One of the guard towers. Great shot.

Just a pretty old farm house behind Trim Castle. Can you imagine having a castle in your backyard? How fun!

Back view of the castle. If you were to look at it from an aerial view--it's in the shape of a cross.

Back view of Trim Castle.

In Sligo at the Carrick-on-Shannon (massive river). More than half of the motorcycle guys (and one gal) had left by the time Morgan snapped it. They were just out for a Sunday ride!

A beautiful old, old church in Sligo. Mass was just letting out.

The Cistercian Abbey in Sligo. The oldest abbey and most successful abbey in Ireland. The first monks came here in 1142. They were there to help reform the early Irish church that had fallen out of favor with the rest of early European Christians.

A pub across from the hotel in Sligo. There literally IS a pub on every street corner in Ireland.
No kidding!

This was on the way to Drumcliff to visit the the stomping grounds of poet W.B. Yeats. Just the most amazing landscape. At every turn, it was another postcard worthy shot.

more scenery on the way to Drumcliff

This is the pub where Yeats spent most of his time. It is small, dark and very cozy inside.

Until the next time....
