New Year's Day.....

First day of the new year out here in San Diego, and it is 70 degrees and sunny. You cannot ask for anything more. It was windy, so there was a "fire watch / wind advisory" in the mountain areas, but nothing developed.

It was strange celebrating New Years last night. When 9pm rolled around, I sent a text message to Casey, and got a hold of my mother. It was weird to say "Happy New Year" to them, and then go back and wait 2 1/2 more hours until our New Year.

Morgan took down the Christmas decorations this afternoon and condensed some of our items. It actually fits very well under the stairs where there is some storage area. We have really learned to eye what we use and don't use anymore, and make our "stuff" smaller.

I watched the outdoor NHL game from Buffalo. It was snowing and a bit windy, but not too bad. The guys had to deal with the "snow" buildup on the ice during play, but it was a great experience. They really need to try to do this every year, or maybe every other year, but it really needs to be scheduled more often. It is great for the sport, and hopefully somebody clicked on it while changing channels, and became a new fan of the game.

I am going to start working tomorrow. I could probably wait until Monday, but I want to make sure that (this year especially) I am on top of everything all tax season, so that this is as smooth as possible for my clients, and ease any worries they might have due to the move.

Hopefully, you all had a safe New Years, and again best wishes for the upcoming year.

Until the next time.....
